What is the attatchment for air impact wrenches at automotive shops used to screw a nut on a bolt?

They tend to be fairly long so that they can fit over the whole bolt.

  1. Oh oh oh, i know this one!!!! Its a deep well socket!!!!

  3. A deep well socket. Is that what you mean?

  4. Impact sockets are of a higher quality then the ones for either air ratchets or hand tools.
Also there are special “extensions” that are used when installing bolts that are torque rated. They flex when the desired torque limit is reached.

  5. The flat black color denotes they are *hardened deep-well impact sockets.
