Opinions on stanley hand tools?
Would like to know what you think of Stanley mechanics tools compared to Craftsman. I know Stanley is known more for carpenters tools but was thinking of getting some Stanley wrenches. Most of my hand tools are Craftsman, can’t afford Snap-on, Mac, SK etc. Thanks

Stanley has had an excellent reputation for quality products for over a hundred years, so I would be inclined to trust anything that they make.
However, I haven’t seen any of their wrenches yet. If I did, the first thing I would find out is if they were “outsourced” from China or someplace else, as so many old-line American manufacturers have done. The Chinese and other Asian countries do not have the stringent government regulations of America and they do not have the same level of quality control that we do. So, I would tend to be wary of the wrenches if they are not made here in America.
good tools
Never had Stanley wrenches, but they are probably good.
My wrenches were all kind because I bought them at pawn shops, flea markets and yard sales. They included Snap-on, Mac and Craftsman.
But Im sure they are ok as long as your not a professional mechanic.
if you are going to by cheap tools buy the ones with the best
warranty because you will probably be replacing them
i owen both stanley and craftsman and i have never had to replace any of my stanley tools and i have both carpenter and mechanics tools that i bought when i first came out of the service in 1962.i think 47 years says a lot for stanley.
