Do they make special ‘allen wrench’ or ‘hex’ screws for license plates?
I bought a cool license plate frame and I am afraid of theft. Do they make special license plate screws that are not phillipse or slotted so that nobody can steal my frame?
Thanks.
Up yours baby7k. The frame came from my university and cost me 25 bucks. So don’t act like a pr*ck about it.
yeah just take one of the original screws into a hardware store and match it up for size
its a freaking license plate frame! you probably bought it a wal mart or something. i think you’re safe from license plate frame thief’s!
Hex head or torx head security screws require a special wrench to remove. See site below.
“Tamper proof screws” are available at good hardware stores. Ask for them by name, but know what size you need. (Probably 1/4″ x 1″.)

Hmm, if someone wants to steal it, they will. Even if you use allen wrenches or hex screws. You aren’t the only person in the world with an allen wrench.
