are cordless impact wrenches as good as the ones you use with an air compressor?

Well, let’s think about this…
The cordless has a little itty bitty motor that fits in the palm of your hand, and is powered by an itty bitty battery that fits in the palm of your other hand. It works on maybe 18V.
The compressor has a big, honkin motor that takes so much juice that it has to be powered by a big, heavy wire, with 125 – 250V.
Now, which one do you think is gonna be able to deliver power to tighten your nuts all day long? I’m guessing the pneumatic, but that’s just me…
